Frozen Big Eye Scad

The Big Eyes Scad, found in Vietnam’s tropical waters, is a small, distinctive fish with an elongated, laterally compressed body, large eyes, and a pointed mouth. It thrives in coastal regions, from the Gulf of Tonkin to central and southern Vietnam, and feeds on small fish, amphibians, and soft-bodied creatures. Growing to around 14 to 16 cm, it reaches maturity with a prominent upper jaw extending to the eye socket. Spawning occurs between May and November. Known for its nutritional value, the Big Eyes Scad is a popular seafood choice, offering a healthy, protein-rich option for both local and international markets.
