The Three-Spotted Crab, or Moon Crab, is a small species found along Vietnam’s central coast, including Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, and Phan Thiet. Caught near shore using nets, it is available seasonally. Its sweet, tender meat is less firm than that of the Green Crab, making it more affordable. Characterized by a greenish-brown shell, the Three-Spotted Crab features three distinct black spots with white edges, making it easy to identify. Compared to the Green and Red Flower Crabs, this species is smaller, with the largest crabs weighing up to 450g.
